Newest Projects

It has been a while, and I have some other stamps I have made, but they are on my dad's computer. But these are some that I just made a couple of days ago.

Here is an owl stamp that I made for my friend's daughter's birthday. She loves all of my owl sketches, so I sketched her this one just for her.
I like snowmen, and I decided to make a stamp for some Christmas tags.
Here is my pumpkin stamp.
Another Christmas stamp. It is a Christmas tree, not a slice of cheese or pizza!!! :)

New Stamps

Well, I finally ordered new carving material, and I love it so much better than the other stuff. So yesterday I was carving for a little while.

Featured

I was out shopping yesterday, and my sister called me with some surprising news! She said that she went on to my Flickr and saw that I was featured in an article about carving stamps in one of the group blogs! I was so surprised and honored. Thank you craftershock!

Bella, Bella, Bella!

My sister's doll, Bella has been chosen as a final 5 in a softies contest! There were over 200 entries!!! So please go vote for her. She is under the Pink or Plaid category.

New Stamps

I got my stamp carving stuff last week, and I sketched all of the favorite animals of my children about a month ago, so I decided to carve them!
This is Rhett's favorite, the T-Rex.
Here is Kaylee's favorite, the horse.
At the time, Breyonna's favorite was an elephant. But I think that has changed to a dog now.
And Ethen is my little monkey, so appropriately this is his.
Here is just a new swirl-wave thingy.
And I don't know what this is, but I sketched it, and decided to carve it.

Baking, baking and more baking

This past Saturday I woke up early and baked a few batches of cookies for a car wash benefiting a friend.

My sister told me to take pictures early in the morning, so I did. And can I just say that these pictures are some of my best that I have ever taken! When it comes to the lighting, I mean. My kids will always take the cake on that.

Ahh... the snickerdoodle. Probably my husband's favorite cookie. He loves my recipe.--so can I take a moment right not to say just how wonderful my husband actually is? He eats anything I make whether or not I messed it up. But he does really like my cookies, I promise!--
And now for the funfetti cookies. My sister made them first, so I decided to take a crack at it. It is really easy. The recipe is on the side of the box. You omit the water, and add 2 eggs with 1/3 cup oil. They came out a little doughy, but everyone at the car wash loved them. Or they just didn't want to hurt my feelings. ;)
And finally, my devil's food chocolate chip-coconut cookies. I did the same with the cake mix, but added chocolate chips and sweetened flaked coconut. But I think it would have been much better if I had put in toasted almonds instead of coconut. Next time.

Finally, the cards are here! Well, just a few

I finally made some cards! I hope you like them.

I made this thank you card for my husband's mom. She gave us a gift certificate to Cold Stone, baby! Woohoo!!!
This thank you card for my husband's gramma. She sent him a gift card to get a huge cookie from Mrs Fields. Justin was so happy and ate to the point of tossing his cookies. Hee hee!
I made this card to send to my dearest friend in the world Heather, who lives in Texas

A few more stamps

Before my sister left back home for California, I made her a few more stamps. She loves swirls, so I made her three stamps. The corner, the middle bottom and the top corners. And just for fun, that little tiny heart. Enjoy!

Hand Carved Stamps

This is my first stamp that I carved myself! I sketched the owl myself, too.
This is the tree that the owl lives in.
This is my monkey. And my frog muffin. All of these stamps are on an index card.

Stationary

My sister and I also made stamps to put on the stationary for the boxes.

Treasure Boxes

This past week my sister Lisa came from California and we made stationary boxes for our daughters. We wanted them to be able to write when they miss each other.

This is Kaylee's box. The box is from Michael's and the paper is Basic Grey.

This is Breyonna's box. Again, the box is from Michael's and the paper is Basic Grey.

Valentines Day treats

I made these Valentine's Day treats for my son and a couple of his friends. I kept it pretty basic, but it was homemade! And they loved that they got to bring the little bags for their friends.

A coupon book

I just finished this coupon book for a dear friend who wanted to offer free babysitting for the same friend whose husband just got home from Afghanistan. There is one page for every month.

Party invitation

I made these invitations for a friend whose son was getting baptized along with a welcome home party for her husband, who had served in Afghanistan for the past year.

Baby shower invitation

This is another baby shower invitation that I made for another sister in law just a few weeks ago. There is supposed to be a wallet-sized picture under the ribbon, with the bird stamp as a little something extra. Again, I covered the information on the shower location with the post it.

Baby shower invitation

I made these invitations for my brother and sister in law for their baby shower last August. I covered the R.S.V.P. information with the post-it.

Ethen's birth announcement

This is the first announcement/invitation I have ever made. I made it last year for my son, Ethen. He was so little!

Some of My Creations

This is my first attempt at altered art. Not bad, I think. I made it for my sister's daughter.
My second attempt at altered art. A little bit better, maybe. This one was for my father in law.
One of my most favorite things to make. A "I love you because" book with voice recorder. This one was for my friend.
